It is very easy to get started on the path of CWI and not have time to look up when things get rolling from job to job.  As a CWI or SCWI, continued certification with AWS requires a renewal application every 3 years along with a new visual acuity form.  The 9th year renewal process requires additional steps.  The choice is either to take the current Part B Practical examination, take an endorsement test or earn a minimum of 80 hours from additional training during the 9 year period, of which 20 must be earned in the 6-9 year timeframe.  Of course, taking the Part B again or taking another test doesn't appeal to many but the last thing you want to happen is to let your certification expire.

Hint:  Courses on this page can be used toward renewal of your CWI or SCWI without having to take AWS exams.
